Trailer Race Registration

Thanks for registering for the Trailer Race. Please read the rules below.

Cars will be checked for safety and general rules upon entering the racetrack. Cars must have a number spray painted on both sides of the pull vehicle.  Any car, mini-van, pickup, suv or station wagon is allowed, bracing of front bumper is permitted. Some type of heavy bracing (grader blade, steel plate) shall be put in place on driver’s door to protect the driver. 4 point roll cage with door bars is highly recommended.

Windshield can be removed but at least (5) 3/8 inch bars running from the roof to the cowling/dash must be welded on to protect the driver from debris that may enter the vehicle. Mesh screen or chain link fence is also required to cover the opening.

As much flammable material as possible should be removed from the car’s interior, it is highly recommended that the battery be moved to the back seat or trunk area in a battery box, fuel tank is recommended to be moved to the trunk with a full firewall between the trunk and drivers compartment. Racing or Boat tank is recommended.

Driver must wear a helmet, full face racing helmet is highly recommended along with neck brace. If no full-face helmet is worn, goggles or eye protection must be used. Driver must also have long sleeves and full length pants with closed toe and heel shoes NO SHORT SLEEVE TSHIRTS, NO SHORTS/CUTOFF’S, NO FLIP FLOPS! Fire suit, FR Coveralls or Coveralls are highly recommended.

Driver must have working seatbelts, lap and shoulder harness minimum! 5point race belts can be used and are recommended.

Trailer must be minimum of 10 feet long from hitch to tail end.  Trailer cannot have any type of locking hitch such as pintle hook, 5thwheel or goose neck hitch are not allowed. Ball hitches or pin type farm hitch only.  If you are pulling a camper or any enclosed trailer please make sure it is gutted out, no material inside the trailer.

Drivers must watch the lights and flags of officials, if the yellow lights come on, and/or yellow flags wave SLOW DOWN to an idle IMMEDIATELY.
